A Pecking Order

In a topic “A pecking Order” Terry Mason tries to show the condition of stewardess. We people think stewardess job is an easy task, but in truth it is very difficult. They are bounded by many rules and regulations. They have to maintain each and everything like body figure, nails, eyes, cloth. Even though passengers give them a hard time they can’t even say a word, but they have to smile and give proper respect to passengers. Steward Job is a very difficult and risky job. Anything can happen at any time. They have fly over the sky and if something gets wrong with the machine then they don’t have any chance to live. So, Terry Mason tries to show the life of stewardess. He wants us to know that; the job of stewards is full of responsibility, and they have to handle the whole passengers in the aircraft during flight hours.

  1. Hi Mahendra - Next week in class we'll be discussing the relation of gender to work. What do you think the interview with Terry tells us about her job says about the conditions of work for women in 1972?
